Creating Original Bass Lines Lesson

This lesson is taught by Danny “Mo” Morris as a part of the collection of video instructions at JamPlay Bass. Danny is a professor in the bass department from Berklee College of Music. Aside from his role in the Bass and Ensemble Departments, Danny teaches a course on Artistry Creativity and Inquiry in the Liberal Arts Department. Danny has authored courses for Berklee’s catalogue and courses for Berklee Online. Besides teaching, he remains busy gigging regularly and recording tracks for singers, songwriters and instrumentalists.

In this Lesson set Danny breaks down the essentials needed to create fresh sounding bass lines over common chord progressions. He uses chord theory, basic rhythm technique and a keen musical sense to help even the most basic grooves come to life!
